  • Great movie

One of the best so far

As a person who has grown up in the 70's and Star Wars has become a part of my entire life, I was looking forward to the first of the trilogy "The Force Awakens". That movie felt, looked and sounded perfect. I saw it 3 times in the theater, bought the Blu-Ray, watched 3 times and plan to watch it again. With that said, I was very excited to see the continuation of The Force Awakens in what would be the full appearance of Luke Skywalker, the hero. Well, here is what Disney and the new writer/director decided to do with all of that story build up...Trash it! They completely tore, dismantled, cut, broke and basically ignored everything about The Force Awakens story to make a film that could have been great, to now a movie that is nothing more then a disappointment. I never felt so heartbroken in my life over a movie that I had such high hopes for only to have all of that destroyed. Luke Skywalker should have came to the rescue in TLJ and not run away and hide and refuse to help the rebellion. Even if he was to die in TLJ, at least let him go out as a Jedi master, not the way they did. I will never watch this movie again and never purchase it. Very disappointed Star Wars fan, and now..Disney.

I thought the movie was just ok. I didn't like the story, I thought the wrting was terrible. The movie jumped around a lot and didn't have much depth. The fx were amazing of course.
  • I wish I could give it five negative stars

Big Star Wars fan and this one was by far my least favorite. Left the theater disappointed and felt shorted. Hope Disney rebounds from this one.
  • Rian Johnson Kills Star Wars

    By EH-NAM
If you’re looking for a continuation of The Force Awakens walk away. Rian Johnson ignored everything that came before it with extreme arrogance. JJ Abrams had drafts for all 3 movies ladies and gentlemen, But Rian Johnson did his own thing and Trashed what came before it. Now Everything is Given and nothing is earned. Star Wars is Dead, Disney and Rian Johnson Killed it. Oh and for the Record I’m a liberal and Love Strong Woman.
  • Star Wars has been broken

This movie does not resolve ANY plot holes from the last movie. The story is meaningless and dull. Don’t waste your time in this flip of a movie.
  • The Force Is Strong With This One

Despite the seemingly large amount of backlash that this film received from the fanbase online after release, the eighth episode in the Star Wars saga (separate from their standalone films) still manages to deliver on many levels. The Last Jedi, worked for me as both a well crafted film set in the Star Wars galaxy. It may even have some of the biggest and most “crowd cheering” moments in all of the films and well as some of the most exciting space battles in Star Wars to date. In the way of Rey, Finn, and Poe, each performance was great and director Rian Johnson smartly chose to focus on character growth over just plot and special effects. Outside of few story hiccups with Finn and the new character of Rose, the film manages to still surprise and delight with its daring take on certain characters, and expansion of the Star Wars mythos. I personally found Luke’s emotional arc to be quite tragic as it is hopeful. It’s jarring to some degree but still a worthwhile and emotional journey for the character. With Rey, It is a wonder to see how Daisy has really established herself as a very talented female actress, and Rey is given some pretty heavy dramatic moments in the film that prove she can handle herself. The film also manages to be quite funny, with only a couple of jokes coming off a bit forced or out of place in a Star Wars film.
  • Worst In the whole trilogy

Don’t believe the ratings. Most of the good ratings are from fanboys and fangirls. Its good if all you want in a movie is action. It’s terrible for a Star Wars movie. Also, it’s all over the place. There’s no character development. The protagonist is a Mary Su. It’s a SJW’s dream, and it’s all effects, visuals, and audio. No good story arcs. Disney might as well as flip all of us who loved the old trilogy off. This movie is a disgrace and disservice to Star Wars. Don’t waste your money.
