This was a terrible movie, beyond the scenery, there was nothing going for it. I wanted to like Woody Harrelson, but I could not. Every step of the way, each character did insane things...abrubtly adjust to fit into a silly plot. Skip this movie....nevermind the tomatoes.

The story of a mother in search of a rapist and murderer of her daughter hacks an entire town to its core. There is nothing pretty or ornamented just well directed, excellent cast, camera, script and all the hundreds of people crocheting this beautiful story of harm and humanity. Like a chess game, each play, a step forward to the end or not. Well played. Thank you.

I’d have to say that this film is currently my favourite because everything just connects so well. The only reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is because the ending was so ambiguous and left me with a lot of questions still unanswered. It’s a great film.
  • Why is this so excellent?

Is this set in an alternative universe where police can blatantly throw somebody out of a building, a citizen can burn down a police station, police can blurt out the n word in uniform and in public. Just not realistic. Why are there no smart phones? Initially I thought it was the 70’s with Mildred’s wood panel station wagon and all, but it isn’t. This movie is stupid. No empathy for the Woody’s character who presided over racist bigots with no accountability—and I owe him empathy? I don’t understand why this movie is so excellent. Dumb

This was a great movie, but just ended a bit too soon for my liking, I would’ve liked to have seen the two main characters seen their last mission to the end or at least to further conclusion then what was shown.

A brilliantly acted, highly compelling story about profound hatred and how it can consume a community.
  • Great cast, acting, screen play until...

The end... movies are a get away... they’re not here (in my opinion) to remind us of the cruelties of life. We’re busy figuring that puzzle out on our own...
